Willie Nelson taped on the same day as us, and the last picture is of his tour bus (note the custom paint job). Let’s just say that it gave off this certain smell that was strong enough to cut through a New York City block. If you know anything about Willie Nelson, you know exactly what I’m talking about. And if you know anything about NYC, you can imagine how powerful said  ”aroma” had to be to accomplish that.

We even got a shout out this time!

Ahh, the good old days. It feels like this footage is from a lifetime ago, but actually is only about 4 months old. Its just a shame that the “Jigga What” section didn’t make it onto the air because Rashad just kills it during this rehearsal. Enjoy!

The DC location shoot for the “Pretty Girls” video was the other day, and some of the band and I came out to show our support. Truthfully, I wasn’t in much of a picture taking mood that day, and felt like a poser running around  snapping candids while people were trying to do actual work anyway. The video is directed by Chris Robinson who also did “Nike Boots” and “Chillin’”, and looks to be pretty dope from what I saw. Lots of cameos, lots of women.  Naturally, I’ll put it up as soon as the finished version surfaces. Be on the look out…

Rashad put this video together before making making his annual pilgrimage to NAMM. Talking about yourself, and especially on camera, is always a little uncomfortable – but this guy’s commentary on himself is just priceless. Something tells me he’s not going to come home empty handed this year though.

Spin Magazine recognized “Pat Your Weave” as the number 17 video of 2009.  We even beat out Lady Gaga. Not Bad for a band who makes so-called “pots and pans” music. Not fucking bad at all.
